Credits are the billing unit in TemplateDocs.

Every workflow run costs 1 credit for the trigger. Most executed steps cost 1 credit each, and the first 3 credits after the trigger are included for free in every run.

Most small workflows therefore cost only 1 credit, even when they generate and deliver a document.

The same credit model applies everywhere. Generating a document through the REST API or the Quick Documents UI costs 1 credit per generation, whether the output is DOCX or PDF. There are no separate API fees or rate tiers.

You will receive emails when you reach 80% and 100% of your monthly credit limit. We do not automatically upgrade plans for you, and will never overcharge.

Monthly credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

You can upgrade or cancel your plan at any time.

When you upgrade, your new plan takes effect immediately, so you get the full benefits right away. For the remainder of your current billing cycle, you'll only be charged for the difference between your current plan and the new plan. Future billing cycles will be charged at the new plan's rate.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. If you want to downgrade, you can cancel your subscription and resubscribe to a lower plan when the cycle ends.
